伴随着苏格兰风笛那悠扬的曲声，不知道多少次沉醉于那动人的乐曲当中，时而气势磅礴，时而婉转动人，仿佛回到了那英雄倍出的乱世。。。。。。
勇敢的心的音乐是由美国王牌配乐大师詹姆斯.霍纳（James Horner）精心制作完成的，专辑中，霍纳一人担当制作、编曲、指挥等多种角色。他与伦敦交响乐团数位演奏家全力完成的一首首磅礴雄伟、荡气回肠的华美乐曲时刻令人浮想联翩。丝丝入扣的情节，通过不断变化的主旋律和快慢交错的节奏大大丰富了影片直线进行的叙事构架，尤其是作曲家在民族乐器上的娴熟运用，仅将非凡的单色带入听者的耳际，同时将英雄气短、儿女情长的情节妆点得极为传神；另外，从该专辑中，我们也可以感受到霍纳在其音乐视野上寻求的开拓。整个音乐当中，每个句段之间，都有节奏落差的缓疾，颇具张力的表现方法的确令人折服。这是一张堪称无可挑剔的天碟，让人听不释手。
